Your fantasy adventures in the Wii revival of Nights will have a real life twist as Sega Japan announced today how weather in-game will reflect that outside your window.
Utilizing the Wii Weather Channel, Nights: Journey of Dreams will detect the weather in the area of the world the player registered in and apply that to the game. This not only affects the aesthetics of the game, but also how the game's “A-Life” artificially intelligent creatures act. Players can also look forward to changes occuring in the game based on the times of day and season.
In previous versions of Nights, there have been several holiday themed changes, including fireworks for New Year's Eve and an April Fools joke where the protagonist was switched with his rival, Reala. Hopefully we'll see even more suprises like these in the Wii version.
Nights: Journey of Dreams is slated for release Dec. 8.
