Ubisoft announced this afternoon that they have signed an exclusive licensing agreement with DIC Entertainment to create games based on the recently revamped Trollz franchise. Along with many other of DIC’s partners, Ubisoft will start to rollout products and games based on the group of teen friends this fall, with an international debut of the entire franchise coming in 2006.
“The Trollz are back with a hair-style vengeance,” said Laurent Detoc, president of Ubisoft North America. “We are excited to be able to bring these characters to life and allow girls to interact with them in a videogame.”
“We are delighted to be working with Ubisoft as our videogame partner for Trollz,” stated Nancy Fowler, senior vice president of Worldwide Consumer Products at DIC. “Our licensing program is now complete and well-rounded to offer tween girls everything they want in terms of fashionable and interactive merchandise capturing the essence of the Trollz brand. We’re thrilled to make this announcement.”
With this announcement, Ubisoft joins the list of partners in the Trollz which include Warner Bros. and Scholastic.
