The pre-release blitz for the hard-hitting UFC Undisputed 2010 is upon us. Tomorrow, it comes in the form of a free demo for members of the UFC Undisputed community. Sign up right here, right now if you want a demo.
Today, though, you get the full list of fighters you can choose to play as in the upcoming game (see below, taken from Gamespot’s feature article). As somebody who actively watches the UFC, the list is fairly comprehensive, with a vast, vast majority of the UFC’s noteworthy fighters from the last few years. But once again, the game has a few glaring omissions. Obviously, there is a boatload of new fighters, and there are a few fighters who went through bitter divorces with the UFC that, remarkably, remain on the roster (I’m looking at you, Dan Henderson).
While the list is impressive, there are a few big-name fighters still missing. Most notably, Randy Couture once again doesn’t make an appearance, in spite of being a consistent headliner for the UFC. Wanderlei Silva, inexplicably, is missing from the game after appearing in Undisputed 2009, and still actively fighting in the UFC (he won in February against Michael Bisping, and is rumored to fight in July against Yoshihiro Akiyama). MMA veteran (but UFC newcomer) Antonio Rogerio Nogueira is also MIA, in spite of a convincing victory over Luiz Cane (who is in the game) and an upcoming matchup against UFC Undisputed 2009’s cover man, Forrest Griffin.
Keep an eye on MyGamer for more details as they become available. And make sure to check out the full list of fighters right under this very sentence.
