Hullo there, everyone. It's time you had some news dropped on your virtual doorstep to round out your holiday lists with and I am, as always, happy to provide. For those of you who hadn't already heard before Valve and the Swedish development firm SimBin have linked up in order to help with the distribution of RACE – The Official WTCC Game which is due for release on November 24th. Valve will carry the game on it's Steam and also will provide Steam for use with PC copies sold in the EMEA territories to assist with updates, matchmaking, and piracy prevention. RACE – The Official WTCC Game will offer the players 60 different cars, all of which have been detailed to duplicate it's real world counterpart accurately, and 10 official tracks scattered across four continents(they did ask permission first, of course) and also has both single player and multiplayer features with the latter being able to hold up to 26 different players either real or AI.
To round things off let's let SimBim share how they feel about this partnership with Valve:
"Delivering RACE via Steam means over 10 million gamers will have the chance to purchase the world's first ever World Touring Car Championship game directly from their PC," said Henrik Roos, CEO of SimBin. "Powering the retail version RACE with Steam means every player will have all the latest content available for the game and be able to enjoy the industry' s most advanced set multiplayer services."
