Today, videogame publishing giant Ubisoft, announced that it is developing [i]Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2[/i] for next-generation consoles and PC. The title (which is the sixth iteration in the [i]Rainbow Six[/i] franchise) is said to be scheduled for a March 2008 release. [i]Rainbow Six Vegas 2[/i] is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal, the same team that created the critically acclaimed [i]Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas[/i]. The [i]Rainbow Six[/i] franchise also celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2008 with currently more than 16 million units sold worldwide.
"[i]Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas[/i] took the gaming world by storm in 2006 thanks to its technological advances and gameplay innovations," said Yves Guillemot, president and chief executive officer at Ubisoft.
