Video Games Live to Perform at GDC

Promoters of the Game Developers Conference in San Jose announced today that the popular Video Games Live concert will be playing at the end of the March convention. The concert features a full orchestra and chorus performing music from some of today’s most famous video games such as Mario, Zelda, Halo, Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy. Accompanying the music will be video arrangements, synchronized lighting and a laser show.
“Partnering with the GDC to present Video Games Live is an honor; not only will fans of video games be amazed at what we have in store for them, but presenting this performance in front of the entire industry will also prove to be very special,” Tommy Tallarico, co-creator of Video Games Live and a leading game music composer, said. “Video games have become one of the most thrilling and electrifying forms of entertainment in the 21st century. Video Games Live will capture that same excitement level to help create the ultimate celebration of video games for everyone to enjoy.”

The GDC convention is set to take place on March 20th through March 24th in San Joe, California. The concert is scheduled for Friday, March 24th at 8 p.m. in the San Jose Civic Auditorium. Tickets for the performance are now available through Ticket Master (http://www.ticketmaster.com) with prices ranging from $20 to $55.
