Various newspapers are agreeing that Vince Young will be on the cover of Madden 2008. An apparent leak by EA to the Tennessean, a Tennessee-based newspaper stated that Young’s agent confirmed this, and the deal was sealed when Madden himself let it slip in a San Francisco radio show.
Vince Young almost single-handedly led the Tennessee Titans to an 8-8 season, losing only one start to the New England Patriots in his rookie season, which resulted in him being declared the rookie of the year for the 2006 season, despite facing great competition from Saints WR Marques Colston, Jets offensive lineman D’Brickashaw Ferguson and fellow quarterbacks Matt Leinart and Jay Cutler. Now, though, many are curbing their expectations for what was likely to be a completely breakout season for Young because of the infamous Madden Curse.
