Ubisoft has announced the development of an official launch title for the Nintendo Wii, formally the Revolution. Rayman Raving Rabbids will be the fourth installment in the Rayman franchise. The development is being lead by Michel Ancel, creator of the original Rayman game (when he was only 19 years old), the underground blockbuster Beyond Good and Evil, and Peter Jackson’s King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie.
Rayman Raving Rabbids promises to be Rayman’s funniest and zaniest adventure ever, and from the sounds of the storyline it could deliver. The world of Rayman is threatened by a devastating invasion of crazed, out-of-control bunnies… yes, bunnies.
Players will be treated to an array of new abilities, including taming and taking control of various creatures: sharks, eagles, rhinos, and spiders. Rayman will have to utilize disguises to infiltrate the bunnies. Players can customize Rayman, and go Punk, Pop, Rock, or Hip Hop. The game also promised a beautiful free-roaming landscape for players to enjoy.
There is no word yet as to how the game will utilize the Wii’s unique controllers, but Ubisoft will be unveiling Rayman Raving Rabbids at this year’s E3. So, stick with Mygamer.com and we’ll bring you all the details.
